At indigo foundation, we provide support to community organisations for community development activities based on the principles of need, expected benefits, community ownership, sustainability, equity and transparency. We are particularly interested in assisting the establishment and/or sustainable development of new and existing community based non profit organisations. The nature of our support is flexible and can include both financial and technical elements, as well as a range of other expertise.
Community organisations seeking financial and technical support are encouraged to contact us. When deciding to support an organisation, we base our assessment on:
- How the organisation or proposed activities align with our Guiding Principles; and
- the general selection criteria as outlined in our Project Assessment Framework (29 kb). Please note: we do not expect organisations to write a proposal using this format, the framework should be used as a guide.
If you would like to apply for funding, please
- email or post us a description of your community and organisation, including your current (or proposed) activities;
- tell us what activities you would like support for (if there is a specific request); and
- tell us the nature of the support you require including the amount and type of the support being requested.
We will reply to you within 4 weeks of receiving your submission.
If you know of a project that you would like us to consider supporting, and you would like to nominate yourself as Project Manager for that project, please email us. We are especially interested in opportunities to provide support if you already have an existing relationship with a community, community or non profit organisation.
