IF provides support to community organisations for
community development activities, based on the
principles of need, expected benefits, community
ownership, sustainability, equity and transparency. IF
is particularly interested in assisting the
establishment and/or sustainable development of new and
existing community based Not for Profit organisations.
The nature of support is flexible and can include both
financial and technical elements.
Community organisations seeking financial and technical
support are encouraged to contact IF. When deciding
to support an organisation, we base our assessment on:
• How the organisation or proposed activities
align with our Guiding
Principles.
• General selection criteria as outlined
in our Project
Assessment Framework (29 kb)
We do not expect organisations to write a proposal
using this format - it should only act as a guide. Instead,
please send: a description of your community and organisation,
including your current (or proposed) activities; the
activities for which you would like our support (if
there is a specific request); and the nature, and amount
or type of the support being requested. We will reply
to you within 4 weeks of receiving your information.
If you would like to be a Project Manager for IF, and
have a project in mind, please also contact
IF. We are especially interested in providing support
if you already have an existing relationship with a
community or community organisation.
