Lua Lemba Education and Community Development Foundation
Lua Lemba is an Indonesian non profit organisation, established in Dehla to manage the community development activities of the Dehla communities. Lua Lemba has established itself as a credible organisation in the community, and community satisfaction with Lua Lemba is very high.
Turusuala Village Model Training Centre
Turusuala is a residential vocational training centre located in AvuAvu. It was established with strong community financial and political support and has only been operating since 2003.
Bonobo Conservation Initiative
BCI is a Washington-based non profit set up to help ensure the survival of the Bonobo, an ape that now remains only in small areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Their philosophy emphasizes that Bonobos live in a human landscape and that the local and indigenous people will be the ultimate stewards of the land. We have partnered with the Bonobo Conservation Initiative in order to support environmental and health initiatives for the human communities that surround the Bonobo populations.
