Zoe Mander-Jones - Co-Chairperson
Zoe is
an IF founding Management Committee member. She has
worked in the development field for over fifteen years -
in both government and non-government sectors. Zoe has
worked in Australia and overseas:
from Thursday Island to Vanuatu and currently works as
a director in AusAID, the Australian Agency for
International Development. She has a Bachelor of Arts
(Mass Communications) and a Masters in Development
Studies. During 2008/09, Zoe is undertaking a Vincent
Fairfax Fellowship in ethical leadership. Jennifer Noble (nee Spence) - Co-Chairperson
Jenny currently works at
AusAID as a Director on the Papua New Guinea program. She
has previously worked in the Department of Prime Minister
and Cabinet, advising on international development issues,
and at AusAID helping to manage the Australian
Government's response to the Indian Ocean Tsunami in Aceh,
Indonesia. Jenny has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in
Political Science. She has been on the IF Management
Committee for six years and was Project Manager for East
Timor for three and a half of those years. Jenny finds the
combination of working for a large donor and a small
community development organisation fascinating and
complementary.
Trina Supit - Treasurer
Trina has a long background in education and speaks
several languages, including Indonesian. Trina's extensive
work experience includes: leading a team of distance
education materials developers in the Open Training and
Education Network; leading a team of curriculum and
professional development consultants for the NSW
Department of Education and Training (DET) in northwest
NSW; working for the United Nations Transitional
Administration in East Timor (UNTAET), supporting teacher
development in East Timor under the auspices of the NSW
DET; and leading a team of national consultants on an
education governance project in East Java for AusAID.
Having worked overseas in the field of international
development for many years, in both a professional and
voluntary capacity, Trina feels that IF is an appropriate
organisation in which to share her development interest
and experience.
Trina is IF's Management Committee representative for
East Timor.
Caitlin Marshall - Secretary
Caitlin has extensive
experience in the social work and community development
arenas. She has worked with a number of women's services
in Queensland which provided direct housing, support and
sexual assault services to young women. She was actually
involved in reviving the Queensland Women's Housing
Network, an alliance that successfully influenced policy
change within the Queensland Department of Housing, and
has also worked with tenants in boarding houses and
caravan parks in Brisbane, recording their stories and
developing their advocacy skills.
Caitlin has been working
on her Masters in International and Community Development
and is also the Community Programs Coordinator for Healthy
Cities Illawarra - part of a 'Healthy Cities' movement
initiated by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The
focus of her work is on a range of capacity building
projects with local community groups across the Illawarra,
such as food security initiatives, development of
community networks and specific program development.
Phil Strickland - fundraising and
marketing
Phil has been a barrister for 16 years and
a Senior Counsel for 2 years, specializing in criminal law
and other public law areas. Between 1999 and 2001, Phil spent some time working
for Aboriginal Legal Aid in Darwin and in Arnhem Land.
Phil's main interest is being involved with people who live in
protected, wilderness or high conservation areas.
Phil is IF's Management Committee
representative for Congo.
Sue Cunningham
Sue joined IF’s Management Committee in September 2007,
having been IF’s Project Manager for Solomon Islands since
2002. Sue has extensive experience in the development and
environment fields having held positions as the National
Development Education Coordinator for Community Aid Abroad
(now Oxfam Australia), and as a senior Environment Officer
for the NSW Environment Protection Authority. She is
currently a Principal Consultant with a small consulting
company that specialises in policy development, research
and evaluation, facilitation and negotiation mainly in the
human services area. Sue has a Batchelor of Arts
(Education) and a Masters in Social Change and
Development.
Sue is IF's Management Committee
representative for Afghanistan and the Solomon Islands.
Sally Stevenson
Sally is a founding member and was the Chairperson of
IF from its formation in 2001 until May 2005 when she
accepted a position as Head of Mission of the Southern
Sudan program for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). On her
return to Australia, she again accepted the IF Chair and
acted in this role as well as Coordinator until January
2008 wherein she accepted another year long position with
MSF / Doctors without Borders as Head of Mission in
Ethiopia. Sally has a Bachelor of Commerce, a Masters in
Peace Studies and a Masters of Public Health. Over the
past eighteen years, she has worked in community
development and public health, in Australia and
internationally with organisations such as World Health
Organisation (WHO), World Bank, Stanford University and
AusAID.
Sally continues to be IF's
Management Committee representative for Indonesia and
Australia.

Key contributors
Kieran Longridge - Coordinator
Kieran has 10 years experience in the
social justice sector. Through her work with Greenpeace
and Amnesty International, she has coordinated projects
with a strong emphasis on community engagement. Her
project design and
implementation skills (especially in human rights and
environmental sustainability) are complemented by her
skills in organisational profile building,
strategic campaign planning, team building and budget
management. Kieran has an Honours Degree in Social Inquiry
and Communications.
Libby Lloyd - IF Patron
Libby has a strong presence in the
international and development community and was awarded an
Order of Australia for her contribution to international
relations. Libby has filled a
number of senior management positions in Immigration and
Community Services within the Australian Public Service; has been a senior staff member and consultant to the
UNHRC,
and a senior coordinator and executive director in several
large community organisations in Canberra. From
2002-2005, Libby was the President of UNIFEM Australia.
Currently she is a Board member of the White Ribbon
Foundation and the Representative for International
Relations for UNIFEM Australia.
