Join Dr Susan Engel, indigo’s Partnership Coordinator for India in conversation with Guna Vincent, Co-Founder and Director of Mahalir Sakthi and Semmalar Selvi, our Liaison Officer for the Program for Education and Awareness Building (PEAB) and Board Member of Social Awareness for Society and Youths (SASY).

When: 530-630pm Wednesday 12 October 2022

Where: Zoom. We’ll send you the link once you register

Guna and Semmalar will share stories of impact from Mahalir Sakthi and PEAB’s work on the ground, including how our partner communities have navigated the pandemic and the work they are doing to rebuild education outcomes. Guna and Semmalar will also speak to the broader context in which they are work – the Dalit rights movement in India and current crackdowns on NGOs and civil society. There’ll be a chance for questions and discussion.

What are ‘indigo conversations’?

‘indigo conversations’ are regular indigo events, either virtual or in person, designed to bring our community of supporters in Australia closer to our partners and their work. We share updates on our partnerships and the context in which we are working, and open a space for questions and discussion to dig deeper.
