Can you answer 68 trivia questions in 20 minutes? Test your smarts from the comfort of your lounge room and help raise funds for our community partnerships at the same time. The winner gets not only the glory of being our 2022 e-quiz champion but also a gift voucher valued at $250 to be spent either in person or online at Gould’s Books – one of Australia’s oldest and most interesting second hand book shops still in existence!

Challenge your friends and family, stir up a little friendly rivalry. Answer the most correct answers in the shortest time and win the prize. Please join us for a very special night in Canberra as we hear from our Partnership Coordinator Ali Reza Yunespour and reflect on education, women’s rights and community resilience under the Taliban. It promises to be a fantastic evening of friendship, music and stories of impact from our long-standing partnership in rural Afghanistan.

  • Ali Reza Yunespour, our guest speaker, is a former refugee and the long-term Partnership Coordinator for indigo’s Afghan schools program.
  • Music featuring the dulcet tones of Mood Indigo
  • MC’d by the wonderful Dianne van Meegan, bringing her humour, warmth and passion to the evening

Tickets include a delicious three course meal, fine wine and entertainment. Ample parking is available at the venue.

4 June: Sydney jazz dinner 

Please save the date for a very special evening of jazz and stories of impact and resilience from the ground in Afghanistan. We guarantee a night of fine food, friendship and soulful (and fun!) music from five-piece jazz outfit The Minnellies. As well as the opportunity to hear firsthand from our Afghanistan Partnership Coordinator, Ali Reza Yunespour. Please gather your friends and join us!

We are thrilled to announce that we have:

  • Ali Reza Yunespour, our Afghanistan Partnership Coordinator.
  • The Minnellies, Sydney five-piece jazz outfit, to get you in the groove. The Minnellies will bring a soulful mix of jazz standards and originals, featuring the vocal talents of chanteuse Lucy Green.
  • The wonderful Verity Firth returning as our MC for the evening. Back by popular demand, Verity is a former NSW Minister for Women and Education, now the Pro Vice-Chancellor at UTS. With Verity in charge, it’s guaranteed to be a great evening.

5 – 11 June 2022: Trek for change on the Larapinta Trail

Book your diary and register now for the adventure of lifetime, trekking the Larapinta Trail on the traditional lands of the Arrernte people. It’s shaping up to be a really special experience. Forge friendships with like-minded travellers as you take on this iconic trek while raising funds for grassroots partnerships in Bougainville, India and Rwanda.
