Publications Coordinator (volunteer role)

We are looking for a fantastic Publications Coordinator to join the team and coordinate indigo foundation’s publications, including our biannual ‘indigo iNK’ magazine and articles for our e-news.

Who you are:  You are a values driven person who shares our passion for social justice and community-led grassroots development. You are well-organised and a great communicator with strong writing and editing skills. You are happy to work independently in a virtual environment.

Who we are: We are a small and innovative community development organisation based in Australia. We believe that real and sustainable change starts at the grassroots and that development work should be driven by local communities. Our guiding principles are community ownership, equity, sustainability and transparency and we work to ensure that these principles inform our development work and the management of the foundation.  Current programs include partnering with communities in Afghanistan, India, Indonesia, South Sudan and Uganda. We are a volunteer-based virtual organisation – with hubs in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.

Tasks: Your key role is to work with the General Manger to coordinate indigo foundation’s publications, including the biannual indigo foundation magazine ‘indigo iNK’ and our quarterly e-news. Tasks include sourcing articles and regular contributions, editing and bringing your creativity and ideas to the table. Opportunities to expand the role into other communications and research work are available depending on your time and passion.

Location: NSW, ACT or Victoria
