past events

Our first Melbourne fundraising dinner was held at the beautiful Queen’s College at the University of Melbourne in September 2015. With Comedian Genevieve Morris as MC, and our Project Coordinator Ali Reza Yunespour speaking from the heart about what our Afghan schools program has meant for him,  a great night was guaranteed.

Thank you so much to everyone who came along, bought their friends and made it such a fun night.

Dinner with Annabel Crabb – September 2014

… the episode of Kitchen Cabinet that you missed!

In the middle of her busy days filming ABC TV’s Kitchen Cabinet series 4, Annabel Crabb recently found time to dine at Sixpenny restaurant in Sydney with lucky Canberra couple Dr Julie West and Glen Hughes.

Julie was the successful bidder for Dinner With Annabel, auctioned at the 2014 Indigo Foundation fundraiser dinner in Canberra last June.

For Julie, the evening was a three-way winner. She said “It was one of those nights where everything just came together. The brilliant food and wine (thank you Sixpenny), the fabulous company (a special thank you Annabel) and, all the while, the satisfaction of knowing that others would benefit via the Indigo Foundation.”

Check out the story from the night here.

Charlie’s Country screening – October 2014

Thank you to everyone who came along to our private screening of the award winning film Charlie’s Country at the Chauvel Cinema in Sydney. And a very big thank you to acclaimed writer / director Rolf de Heer for generously offering to do a Q&A in support of indigo foundation’s work. It was a wonderful night.

This internationally acclaimed film raises issues familiar to the indigo foundation’s Nyrripi project – and echoed in many of our other projects around the world.

If you are on facebook, you can see more photos from the evening here.

Annual Canberra dinner

Every year indigo foundation holds a fantastic dinner at the National Press Club in Canberra. A room full of big-hearted people having a great time in support of indigo foundation’s partner communities, with the assistance of the ABC’s Virginia Haussegger as MC!

Photos from the 2015 dinner are here. If you’re in the ACT in 2016, we hope to see you there!

Open garden day

Many thanks to the very generous supporters who opened their heritage gardens to the public in support of indigo foundation in 2015. What a beautiful day by Sydney Harbour – and what a great way to meet new supporters!

We hope this will become an annual event.
